Standard Pacific Homes and Ryland Homes, two of the nation’s largest homebuilders, merged in late 2015 to form a new $5.4 billion company, now known as CalAtlantic Homes. The name, reflecting the new chapter in the history of two iconic homebuilding companies, points to the breadth of the company’s footprint expanding from coast to coast and all points in between. Conveying a sense of shared strength and trust, the name and identity were created to position the fourth largest U.S. homebuilder as a brand apart—one that strongly resonates with today’s multi-generational homebuyers and industry partners.
